Thanks to a PA4X owner who exported most of his Pa4X factory styles as MIDI SMF, I can now convert the missing ones to the PA600.
As the process is long and sometimes difficult, because the PA4X styles are complex with several Chord Variation and different root scales, here are only the two first styles I converted: “Kiss Sky Pop” and “Falling Dance”
Olavier did a nice work by adapting Jean-Michel Jarre’s tracks to PA50 styles, many years ago. I tried to contact him without success. It seems he disappeared from the internet leaving many videos behind him, and sad users who hoped for compatibility or improved version.
Here is my small contribution. I converted the styles to PA600 and added or converted STS.
38 styles like Jarre Oxygene, Equinoxe, Rendez-Vous, or Chronology and other composers for Koto, ForeverYoung, Jump, … These styles are difficult to use and quite basic. You need to check Olavier’s videos on YouTube to understand how to use them, or just let your fingers find the inspiration, then adapt them to your own taste.
What would you prefer as a new resource for your PA: some new styles that I can try to convert from Yamaha or other brands, or new sounds like Electric Pianos, Pads, Synth Leads,.. using factory samples ?
Some guys have found that the Dopamine Set which is based on PA600 factory configuration, has some differencies with PA900 especially for styles location. Consequently, the songbook of the PA900 is not 100% compatible with the set.
Kalou did a version of the set based on the PA900 factory configuration so that the original songbook of the PA900 is 100% compatible.
I was not able to test it as I don’t own a PA900 but everything seems very close to the original one.
Thank you to Kalou who built this set and contacted me to make it available to all of us.
